Here is
Starbucks' blog release of their new drink size: the Trenta.
Can anyone figure out the math behind the sizes? Doesn't trenta mean 30 in Italian? Then why is Startbucks' new size 31 ozs? And how is the Trenta 7 ounces bigger than the Venti? Is the Venti 24 ounces?
What is with the size names? I have to post both
the linguist's gripes with size names as well as
Paul Rudd's rant.
And this graphic is troubling....
Yes, the iced Venti is 24 ounces (hot venti is 20, as you would think). But I think the new Trenta only comes in iced...I could be wrong.
ReplyDeleteI was just at Starbucks yesterday and it seems they finally have the trenta available. It is only for iced drinks.
ReplyDeleteAfter I ordered a venti iced coffee, they made sure that I knew the trenta was available. My response was "yeah... we talked about that in my marketing class... it's bigger than the average human stomach... i don't want that."
